Joining Hartounian, A Professional Law Corporation, in 2024, Marine brings extensive expertise in catastrophic personal injury, elder abuse, financial abuse, and insurance defense, enhancing the firm's ability to provide exceptional legal representation.
Beginning her legal career in insurance defense, Marine represented individuals and major corporations in complex actions such as landlord-tenant disputes, premises liability, habitability issues, sexual assault claims, and wrongful death lawsuits. Her dual experience on both sides of the legal spectrum equips her with a comprehensive understanding of litigation strategies and tactics.
In 2023, Marine transitioned to Plaintiff's personal injury law, serving as an associate at a distinguished firm. Here, she handled a diverse caseload including catastrophic personal injury cases, elder abuse, and financial abuse matters. Her dedication to advocating for vulnerable individuals and her meticulous attention to detail earned her recognition as a skilled litigator.
Marine's academic journey laid the foundation for her successful legal career. She graduated with distinction from the University of Southern California with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. She later earned her Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School, excelling both academically and in extracurricular activities. As a finalist in Moot Court and a clerk at the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, major crime division, Marine demonstrated her passion for advocacy and commitment to community service.
Even while awaiting the results of the bar examination, Marine remained devoted to public service. She volunteered at the Bet Tzedek Federal Tax Clinic, assisting individuals with various tax-related challenges including ITIN applications, Economic Impact Payments, and tax filing basics.
Marine is a member of the Armenian Bar Association and the Armenian Women's Bar Association, demonstrating her commitment to supporting and uplifting the Armenian legal community.
